In many religions and according to various beliefs, the holiday season is a time of celebration. Whether you traveled home to be with your families, are visiting friends or plan to embark on a lovely trip, please make time for yourselves and enjoy the season. Although the weeks leading up to the holidays can be a bit stressful and chaotic, the holiday season should be about slowing down and taking time to enjoy life’s simpler pleasures with loved ones.

And, of course, don’t forget to travel on Budapest’s magnificent Christmas trams, operating until 6 January. The Advent Feast at the Basilica in Budapest is also open. The event recently came in second place in a poll conducted by the European Best Destinations organization measuring readers’ favorite European Christmas markets.
